A number is even if it can be divided by \(2.\) Even numbers end in \(0,2,4,6,\) or \(8.\)
A number is odd if it cannot be divided by \(2.\) Odd numbers have remainder \(1\) when divded by \(2.\) They end in \(1,3,5,7,\) or \(9.\)
Example: Is \(13\) even or odd?
\(13\) ends in a \(3,\) so it is odd.
Example: Is \(18\) even or odd?
